You Can't Buy Your Way to Heaven

For all of us who have seen the headlines, it's hard not to feel like we're living in a "buy your way into heaven" culture. We see ads for everything from luxury cruises to designer watches that promise some kind of eternal reward. 

But the Bible says that these things don't matter when it comes to our eternal home. In fact, God only wants you to trust Him with all your heart and follow His plan for you here on earth (Psalm 37:4).

You can't buy your way into heaven.

You can't buy your way into heaven. You can't buy your way out of hell.

You may be wondering, "Why not?" The answer is simple: God loves you too much for that. He would never force you to love Him in return for something as trifling as money or fame or power—and He wouldn't accept those things from you either, because they're all just temporal and worthless when it comes down to it.

Have you ever seen a moving company or a U-Haul truck following a funeral procession? It’s because you can’t take anything with you when you die. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?” Luke 9:25

The things we work hard for and would do anything to accomplish or receive are just temporary luxuries and these things do not last forever. 

Salvation through the acceptance of God's only son Jesus Christ is the key to everything from happiness, blessings, love and more. Don’t take my word for it just read John 3:16-17 and John 14:6.
