I love the United States of America. It is my home. It is a beautiful country with so many opportunities, freedom, and blessings. But my heart is heavy because I see what is happening around us. I see that our country is turning away from God.
Everywhere we look, we see confusion. People do not know who they are anymore. They do not know if they are male or female. They do not know their purpose in life. They are searching for meaning, but they are looking in the wrong places. Instead of turning to the real God, the One who created heaven and earth, they are turning to man-made gods.
Some people worship statues, crystals, money, fame, or even themselves. The Bible calls this idolatry. In the Old Testament, people made gods out of clay, wood, and metal and bowed to them. Today, we may not always see clay statues on every street corner, but many still worship things that are not God. Anything we put before God in our hearts becomes an idol.
The sad part is that living this way leads to pain and chaos. When people turn away from God, their lives become dark. We see it in broken families, addiction, anger, and hopelessness. People are hurting deeply because they are trying to live without the One who gave them life.
But there is hope. God still loves America. He loves every person, no matter how far they have gone. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us so we can be forgiven and have a new life. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
If we want to see change in our country, it starts with us. We must pray for America. We must ask God to forgive our sins and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We must share the good news of Jesus with others, even if it is not popular. We must live in a way that shows people there is a better way — God’s way.
The United States was built on a foundation of faith and freedom. Our coins still say, “In God We Trust.” But trusting God is not just a nice saying — it is a way of life. We must turn back to Him with all our hearts.
Today, I encourage you to take time to pray. Ask God to open the eyes of those who are lost. Ask Him to use you to shine His light in a dark world. We may not be able to fix everything at once, but one person who is faithful can make a difference.
Let us be bold for Jesus and help lead our country back to the truth. America needs God more than ever.
