A Simple Prayer to Submit Yourself to God and Jesus for a Life of True Happiness and Peace

When life feels confusing, heavy, or out of control, it’s often because we try to handle everything on our own. True peace begins when we stop fighting and start surrendering — not to the world, but to God. Submitting yourself to God and His Son, Jesus Christ, means letting go of your own plans and trusting His perfect will.

The Bible says in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” This means that when you give your heart and your decisions to God, He gives you the strength to overcome fear, temptation, and doubt.

Here’s a simple prayer you can say today:

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart. I surrender my plans, my worries, and my desires to You. Teach me to trust Your ways and not my own understanding. Lord Jesus, I invite You into my life completely. Fill me with Your peace, Your truth, and Your joy. Help me live each day in obedience and love. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me a new start. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When you pray this sincerely, you invite God’s peace into your heart. You begin to live more authentically because you are no longer trying to please others — only God. Jesus gives us freedom from pretending and from fear. He shows us how to live with purpose and contentment, even when life isn’t perfect.

Every day, remind yourself that peace comes from surrender, not control. Submitting to God isn’t weakness — it’s the beginning of true happiness, strength, and lasting peace. Let God guide your life, and you will find yourself living with joy that nothing in this world can take away.
