When it comes to social media, I have changed the way I use it. I used to scroll for hours, looking at what other people are posting. Now, I hardly do that anymore. I realized that so much of what is on social media makes me upset. People are angry, they are abusive to animals, and some are protesting without really understanding what they are protesting. Many of them are just doing it because they were paid to do it. It is hard to see, and I do not want to spend my time on negativity anymore.
Today, my social media is different. I only post about my work, my content, my products, and the services I offer. That is it. I do not scroll through endless posts or get involved in arguments. Once I post something, I log out. I do not get lost in the feed anymore. This way, I protect my peace of mind. I do not let social media control my emotions.
I also rarely reply to comments myself. Most of the replying is done by my team. I am grateful that I have a full house of team members in my pawTree Doggie Delight business. They handle most of the social media work for me. This helps me focus on the bigger picture, like running the business, taking care of my pets, and creating new products. My team is reliable and professional, so I do not feel stressed about responding to every message or comment.
Social media is changing every day, and not always for the better. It is becoming more and more difficult to stay positive online. There are many posts that are meant to shock, hurt, or make people angry. Sometimes, I see posts that are cruel to animals. That is very upsetting for me because I love animals and I care deeply about their welfare. I do not want to see that every day. I also see people protesting or fighting online without really understanding the issues. It seems like some people are just following a trend or getting paid for their actions. Watching this is draining, and it does not give any good energy.
Because of this, I choose to limit my time online. I focus on what I can control. I share my knowledge, my products, and my services. I connect with people who are genuinely interested in what I do. I leave the negativity behind. Social media is a tool, not a life. I use it to grow my business, to educate others, and to inspire. I do not let it take my peace.
I also believe it is important to limit your social media to avoid the toxic news and the negativity in the world. Instead, focus on yourself, your family, and whatever God is asking you to do with your life. When you stay focused on your purpose and on the people you love, social media becomes a helpful tool, not a source of stress.
Being careful with social media also helps me be more productive. I have more time to work on my pawTree business, to care for my pets, and to spend time on meaningful projects. I do not waste energy on things that do not matter. I am grateful for my team, for my business, and for the way I now use social media. It is safe, positive, and focused.
Social media can be scary every day, but I choose to make it safe for myself. I use it for work, not for drama. And that choice has made my life calmer and happier.
