I’ve spent most of my life working in Corporate America, including some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies. Over the years, I’ve learned one important lesson—there is no such thing as a truly secure job. No matter how good you are or how long you’ve been with a company, you can be let go at any moment. It doesn’t always come with warning or reason. That is the company’s right, and as employees, there isn’t much we can do about it.
After seeing and experiencing this reality firsthand, I decided to take control of my future. I wanted to build something of my own—something that no one could take away. That’s when I started two things I’m truly passionate about: my PawTree business and my finance eBooks.
With more than 20 years of experience working in banking, I’ve learned a lot about money, financial planning, and how to create stability. I decided to use that knowledge to help others by writing simple, easy-to-understand finance books. I turned them into eBooks so people could easily download, read, and even share them. My goal is to help others make smarter financial decisions and build their own sense of freedom—just like I’m doing.
At the same time, I launched my PawTree business because I absolutely love pets. PawTree allows me to work with pet products I believe in, while also building a team of other animal lovers who want to earn income doing something meaningful. I enjoy balancing both of my ventures. When I need a break from writing my eBooks, I switch my focus to my PawTree business. And when I need a break from PawTree, I spend a few days writing or updating my journals and books. Both keep me motivated and excited every single day.
If you’ve ever thought about owning something of your own, I encourage you to start small. Begin with a side hustle while you’re still working your regular job. Learn as you go and grow it at your own pace. Eventually, with patience and effort, your side hustle can turn into a full-blown business. The key is to start—don’t wait for the “perfect time,” because it rarely comes.
For me, moving away from depending on corporate jobs and building my own businesses has been one of the best decisions of my life. I now have more freedom, flexibility, and purpose. If you love pets as much as I do and are looking for a way to earn extra income, I’d love for you to join my PawTree team. Together, we can help pets, help people, and create the kind of independence that a corporate job can never truly offer.
