Why America Needs Strong Immigration Enforcement and Why Supporting ICE Matters

Many people come to the United States legally to work, study, start businesses, and build a better life. This is good for our country. But immigration only works when the law is followed. If there is no enforcement, then the system becomes unfair and unsafe.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has an important job. ICE makes sure that people follow immigration laws. They remove criminals, stop human trafficking, prevent fraud, and protect our borders. Their work keeps our communities safe and protects legal immigrants who did things the right way.

Some people do not like ICE and want to get rid of them. But without ICE, anyone could enter the country without background checks, security checks, or legal documents. This would put Americans at risk and would also hurt legal immigrants who spent years and money to become citizens.

Fraud is another reason why enforcement matters. A well-known example is the Somali fraud case in Minnesota. During the pandemic, federal investigators found that people running child meal programs stole billions amounts of government money by creating fake meal sites and fake names. This money was supposed to feed children. Instead, it went into private pockets. This was wrong and illegal. It also hurt American taxpayers and families in need.

If you are Democrats reading this: Somali scammers are stealing money from you too. Duh. Hello? Stop the protest.

When fraud like this happens, it makes people lose trust in the system. It also creates a bad image for honest immigrants who work hard and follow the law. ICE and other federal agencies helped uncover this fraud and bring charges. This shows why enforcement is important.

Supporting ICE does not mean we hate immigrants. It means we support law and order. It means we support fairness. It means we protect our country and our tax dollars from abuse. America can welcome legal immigrants and still enforce the law at the same time. This is the right balance. I support ICE.
