Why Woke and DEI Are Against God’s Truth

Many people talk about being “woke” or following DEI, which stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. At first, these ideas sound good. They say everyone should be treated fairly, and no one should be left out. But if we look deeper, these ideas often go against God’s rules and the truth in the Bible.

God asks us to live in truth. John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” God wants us to follow His truth, not the ideas of the world. When people put human ideas above God’s Word, it can lead to confusion and harm. Woke and DEI often focus on feelings, personal identity, or social labels instead of God’s commands. They encourage people to judge others by race, gender, or culture rather than by their character and heart.

In the Bible, God teaches us to love everyone, but He also teaches us to live in righteousness and truth. Woke and DEI sometimes promote ideas that divide people, rather than unite them under God’s love. For example, they may say one group is always right or another group is always wrong. But the Bible teaches that everyone is a sinner and needs God’s grace. Romans 3:23 reminds us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God does not want us to elevate one person over another based on earthly categories.

These movements also try to redefine what is right and wrong. God gave us the Ten Commandments and Jesus’ teachings to show what is good. Woke and DEI often tell people to ignore God’s standards if they “offend” someone or do not feel fair. But fairness is not always the same as truth. God calls us to follow His truth, even when the world disagrees. Proverbs 12:22 says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.”

Our society is facing many problems because people stop following God’s truth. There is confusion in schools, workplaces, and even families. People argue over identity, fairness, and social status, instead of following God’s commands to love one another and live righteously. Woke and DEI often focus on appearances and feelings, but God looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 says, “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

If we want our country and world to improve, we must return to God’s truth. We must teach children about God, live according to His Word, and reject ideas that go against Him. Woke and DEI may seem popular, but popularity does not mean it is right. God’s Word is the only truth that lasts forever.

Let us pray and ask God to guide our hearts. Let us live in His truth, love one another, and not follow the ways of the world that lead us away from Him. Only then can we see real change in our families, communities, and nations.
