Happy Easter Everyone! Jesus Is Risen!

 

Easter is a very special time for Christians all over the world. It’s the day we remember and celebrate that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He is not in the tomb anymore. He is alive! This is the good news of Easter.

The Bible says in Matthew 28:6 (NIV):

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

These words were spoken by an angel to the women who went to visit Jesus’ tomb. They were surprised to find that the stone had been rolled away and Jesus was not there. Instead, they found hope. They found victory over death.

What Is Easter?

Easter is the most important event in the Christian faith. It’s the day that changed everything. Jesus, the Son of God, died on a cross to take away our sins. But He did not stay dead. On the third day, He rose again. That is what we celebrate on Easter Sunday.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NIV):

“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

This is the Gospel—the good news. Because Jesus is alive, we can have a new life too. We can be forgiven, saved, and set free.

Why Did Jesus Die?

Jesus died because He loves us. He took our place. He paid the price for all the wrong things we have done. We call that sin. Sin separates us from God, but Jesus made a way for us to be close to God again.

John 3:16 (NIV) says:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

That means if you believe in Jesus, you will have eternal life with Him. You will not die spiritually. You will live forever with God in Heaven.

The Power of the Resurrection

Jesus rising from the dead shows us the power of God. Nothing is too hard for Him. Not even death could stop Him.

The resurrection gives us hope that no matter what happens in life, God is in control. It also means we don’t have to be afraid of death. Jesus has already won the battle.

Romans 6:9 (NIV) says:

“For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.”

This means Jesus is forever alive. And if we follow Him, we will live with Him too.

What Does Easter Mean for Us Today?

Easter is not just about chocolate eggs and bunnies. It’s about Jesus. His resurrection means:

1. We have hope.
   No matter how hard life gets, we know that Jesus has the final victory.

2. We are forgiven.
   If we confess our sins and believe in Him, we are washed clean.

3. We can live a new life.
   We can start fresh. Our past mistakes do not define us.

4. We have a future in Heaven.
   Eternal life is a promise for those who believe.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) says:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Isn’t that amazing? Jesus gives us a brand-new start.

How Can You Celebrate Easter?

Here are some simple ways to celebrate Easter in a meaningful way:

• Read the Bible story about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Try reading Matthew 27–28, Mark 15–16, Luke 23–24, or John 19–20.

• Thank Jesus in prayer. Just talk to Him. Tell Him how grateful you are for His love.

• Worship Him. Sing songs that praise Jesus for what He did.

• Share the good news. Tell someone, “Jesus is alive!” and share what that means.

• Go to church. Be with others who are also celebrating this great day.

Easter is a time of joy. We should celebrate with happiness in our hearts. Jesus is not in the grave. He is alive and with us always.

Matthew 28:20 (NIV) says:

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

What a beautiful promise. Jesus will never leave us.

A Personal Message for You

Maybe today you are feeling sad, lonely, or tired. Maybe you feel far from God. I want you to know that Jesus is reaching out to you. He loves you. He died for you. And He rose again to give you hope.

You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to earn His love. He already loves you. He is waiting for you to come to Him.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9 (NIV):

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

That’s it. Just believe and receive. Jesus is alive, and He wants to live in your heart.

“Dear Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead. I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart. Help me to live for You. Thank You for Your love and grace. Amen.”
