One day, I was watching television and saw people angry at President Donald Trump. I am not really into politics, but I like the things he is doing for the United States of America. Let me explain why I feel that way.
I grew up during the time of President Ronald Reagan. Those years were filled with hope. The economy was strong, jobs were plenty, and people seemed happier. Life was simple, and our country felt safe. There was pride in being an American, and people respected the law and worked hard for what they had.
Today, things feel very different. I have seen with my own eyes how drugs like fentanyl and cocaine have destroyed families and communities. It breaks my heart to see young people losing their lives. Our streets are not as safe as they once were. Many cities are filled with people struggling with addiction and homelessness. It seems like the moral and social foundation of our country is falling apart.
Another thing that worries me is how the borders are being handled. When millions of people come into the country illegally, it creates big challenges. Some take advantage of free programs like FREE food stamps, healthcare, housing, and education, even though they are not U.S. citizens. I believe America should be a land of opportunity, but it must also be a land of order and responsibility. There should be fairness for those who follow the laws and work hard to build a better future.
That is why I appreciate what President Trump has been trying to do. He talks about putting America first, protecting our borders, and making sure our tax dollars are used wisely. He wants to stop the flow of drugs, create jobs, and support American workers. He has also focused on reducing our massive national debt and making fair trade deals that benefit the United States. I believe those are good goals that help our nation grow stronger.
Some people march in the streets against him, but I often wonder if they truly understand why. It is easy to get angry, but it is better to think deeply and pray for wisdom. I do not think every leader is perfect—no one is—but I believe God can use anyone to bring order and restoration when a nation turns away from what is right.
Before I started working in banking, I was a flight attendant and traveled around the world. I have seen how other countries operate. In places like Dubai, for example, you do not hear about illegal immigration or drugs flooding their streets. Their laws are strict, and people follow them. America could learn something about discipline and respect for authority.
The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2 (KJV): “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
I believe America needs righteous leadership—someone like President Donald Trump who will protect its people, restore its values, and bring back the sense of pride that once made this nation great.
