Success Takes Time: Why Building a Business Is a “Little by Little” Journey

Starting a business is not easy, and many people today struggle with this truth. We live in a “microwave society,” where everything is fast and instant. Because of this, people expect their business to grow overnight. They want success today, money tomorrow, and results without the long process. But real success does not work that way.

The Bible teaches us a different principle. Proverbs 13:11 (NIV) says, “Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” This verse reminds us that true riches and true success grow slowly and steadily. It takes time, consistency, and hard work. Unless someone wins the lottery, success rarely happens in one day.

In my own journey, I have seen this truth come alive. My books and journals did not appear overnight. I began writing in 2010, long before anyone knew what I was working on. I stayed up many late nights, sometimes working until the early hours of the morning. I kept writing, creating, and improving. I began blogging on this platform. That took more work—writing, researching, learning, and sharing. But over time, I started to see the results. The fruit did not come quickly, but it came.

The same thing happened with my pawTree pet business. It did not become successful instantly. I worked at it every single day. I learned the products, shared their benefits, and helped pet owners understand why organic and holistic food matters. I posted on Facebook, shared videos on YouTube, and talked about my passion for pets and animal wellness. It was work—consistent work—but because I believed in it, it did not feel like a burden.

Success requires passion, dedication, and patience. You must love what you do, because love gives you the strength to stay consistent. When you truly believe in your business or your calling, the work becomes joyful. You don’t count the hours because you know you are building something meaningful. This is how long-term success is built—through passion, consistency, and faith.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV) also encourages us: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” This is God’s promise. If you keep going, keep working, keep believing, the harvest will come.

So if you are starting a business or building something new, remember this: success does not happen overnight. It happens through small steps taken every day. It happens through prayer, discipline, patience, and persistence. It happens when you refuse to quit, even when results are slow.

If you believe in what you are doing and continue to work faithfully, success will come—little by little, just as God designed it.
